We have to keep posting pics of our wheeling trips and then it might encourage him to get out and wheel.:gossip:

Like this picture. To anyone looking at this you would think man that shit looks easy and I can do it in 2wd.

What you don't see is that I'm less than 5 feet from a 100 foot drop and this trail is covered in boulders and off camber ruts.

This is a trail called Rug Road. It starts in Mammoth, AZ and dumps into Turkey Creek and out to Safford.
Turkey Creek neighbors a protected Canyon called Arivipah. Rug road is about 20 miles and takes about 8 hours. It got its name from an old rancher that used to take it to work in his 2wd truck. In that picture you can see carpet on the ground where he actually covered the decent in carpet to make it easier for him. Over the years this hill has suffered severe deterioration. This particular "Carpet Hill" descends almost 1k feet in under a mile. You are quite literally hanging off the cliff and can be a rather serious pucker moment. I think at one point I sucked up my seat cover I was so clenched.

The trail is beautiful and we were on it as the fall hit. It had a bit of everything and ends with MOAB style wheeling with rock paths and big steps. I spent most of the trail in 4lo and locked because of the loose hill climbs.
