Mine is on his way to Disney in Florida with my wife, so for the next two weeks it's just the dog and I. I think she misses him more than I do.

It's mounted under the cross bars with some "L" brackets. Bolted to the cross bars and drilled into the frame of the panel. I had to trim the frame to fit under the rack/bars. More in the front to clear the bulge in the roof and in the rear some to clear as well. Also had to put washers between the cross bars and rack to space them out a bit to fit the panel between them. I'm still waiting to do a full write up on the solar install once I get some output figures gathered to share and work out some bugs. Once it's a proven setup I'll be glad to share. In the meantime, I don't want to steer someone in that direction without having a perfect proof of concept.

@Crom do you have any problems with your solar panel on top of your rack? I'm new to the solar panels and from what I've been asked by others it's got me wondering if they scratch easily? If A tree limb would fall on it would it crack it or break it? (Not a huge tree limb)

I wanted to, but BAMF doesn't make one yet, and I don't know that anyone else has a tailgate one yet.
