I am looking at the 25001-151-EXT king shocks and coils and it has the option for extended travel on aftermarket control arms (which I do not have) and i wanted to know if they would still work on stock control arms. I do plan to buy mid travel control arms after for these shocks and i plan to buy the CAM-310005 with the kings shocks but leave the control arms stock for now(probably until they break). Will this work?

Lower control arms are only needed (and provided) with long-travel kits.

Mid-travel is simply...a little more shock travel but well within the geometries of the stock arms.

Your lower control arms will not break.

You had a $6k+ budget, stated in multiple threads when you asked about long-travel and all that.

Why don't you go with a quality set from ADS?

They'll valve them to your needs as well.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I would second going with ADS, King front coilovers for 1st gens, even the extended travel ones are over 3/4" shorter than their ADS counter parts, given the lever ratio thats nearly 1.5" of lost wheel travel.

I´m just looking at all my options and want to see what would be best for me. What ADS should I be looking at that would cost 2k because everything would cost 2k if I went with the kings?

You don't really have many options if you went with ADS so I don't know what you're asking?

Kings would only set you back $1.2k unless you got them with the reservoir so a little more.

Just call ADS and order via phone; those guys are suspension experts and anything gathered here would be less beneficial to you.

If I got the ADS Shocks 96-04 Tacoma 2.5″ OEM Coilovers which is $500 more then the kings, what are the benefits to getting these, would I get more travel?
