warmer weather seems just around the corner
and then it gets brutally cold again
then it warms up, but for how long...
much to do, much to do when the warming stays put, and low humidity

    Typical Taco crotch rot.
Happens when ignorant owners pump salt water into frames by using drive in underbody wash. The Igmozs wand wash off their freshly applied Fluid Film first. o_O:bananadead:

    thankU for your insight
actually, in my tacoma history of near 23 years, i have not ever used an undercarriage wash until the winter of 2o19 lol, when they started offering an unlimited pass for $30 monthly, which i felt was a great bargain! That pass has since been canceld when i found it would totally wash the FF i had sprayed on the passenger frame rail under the cab and probably did not clean the wheel wells out as thorough as i always have by hand wand wash

this pic just confuses me because of the gravity effect!, water DOES not readily pool up that high unless there is something blocking it from properly draining
gravity is strong and will pull the water down from that high up :notsure:

this truck MAYBE was parked on an incline during the winters??, front end up, which could leave the water pooled up inside there?

i honestly have NEVER ever seen or heard of this shit before, so understand how bewildering it is 2 me

@RysiuM you have done a fair amount of studies on this subject?, what can you help with any discoveries you have made!?

Because SALT is Hygroscopic and Capillary action of liquid brine plus hi mph wind in frame tunnel while driving.

Not much more than I already wrote in other topics. I was leaning towards enlargening drain holes just in front of leaf hanger as they are to small from a factory (way to small for "dirty water drain") but I put off the decision as we had zero snow (and salt) this winter. I can live with that climate change :).

I'm doing a lot of dirt/muddy roads driving getting to my house construction site, but for sure I'm not going to wash the frame before the summer. Fluid film covered by mud is still much healthier than just mud on a bare frame.

i have now checked 8 friggin local shops in my 'moderate sized city' to get my trucks bed safely removed and am still at an utter dismay how difficult to find anybody that would know what the heck the deal is  one place tried to sell me some Krown crap treatment lol
i would like to keep within a couple of miles of my residence so that i do not have to drive truck & trailer the bed back so far...
