Middle-aged apparently is fast approaching on my '98 Tacoma. It's getting a little bit long in the tooth, more and more systems are starting to wear out. Suspension sagging here and there. (sigh). Things just aren't what they were when she was young, tight and responsive. .

On top of all that, the bloody throttle linkage cable is loose.

    Calamity of calamities!

I realize it is indeed an indiscreet question and I beg your indulgence- Is this middle-age sagging of your own throttle linkage happening to any of you out there? And if I show you mine, will you show me yours? I am indeed to distraught with grief and the looming diminishment of my throttle capacity.

You can adjust the slack by moving the nut that is under your hand.

If you can`t get any more adjustment out just replace the cable before it breaks.

I had the bracket break where it goes through the firewall now that was interesting .
