His girlfried is trash. We talked to her mom, but her mom is trash and has a 1 yera old baby of her own. Her dad is in prison. She currently lives with her aunt and uncle, but says they want her to move out before the baby comes. My son wants her to come live with us, but I said "No way!" I have a 6 year old and I'm not brining that mess into the house where he lives.

We are pretty sure she got pregnant on purpose, too.

My son is going to finish out highschool and then I'm pushing him to join the military. He's not really college material anyway.

well first of all, i have a gf/fiance so pussy is not a problem. secondly, if you saw the way i lived my life you would realize that 28 probably is about mid life for me. thirdly, i consider a midlife crisis a point when you realize you hate your life, you aren't what you thought youd be, you are restless, bored, need a change, want an adventrue etc.... and i feel all of that.

You know, ND, if you are such a loser, you should probabaly just kill yourself and free up some parking for the rest if us. (...kidding, I have a very dark sense of humor, and I know you can hack it. I get those feelings frequently enough...)

Just wait until you start physically feeling your age. Changing diff fluids is even less fun when your right arm is screwed with tendonitis and won't heal, and you realize you are going far sighted because you can't focus on the f'ing zerks that are closer than 12 inches to your nose.:D

At least you can afford better booze the older you get...

haha! its funny you mention booze, cause you're right, you can afford better/more than when you're young, but as you age drinking becomes more and more painful. i know as a 28 year old i dont have much room to complain, but i remember being 18 and there is a HUGE difference between me at 28 and me at 18. i got a steroid shot recently for a bad lung infection and for the first time in a decade had more engergy than i knew what to do with. i didn't feel too old until i realized jsut how run down i've gotten over the years. i'd do anything to get that steroid feeling back (except taking steroids of course). maybe i need to start loading up on B vitamins....

I kinda know what you are feeling minus the grey hairs and weight gaining. I'm sure almost everyone knows my divorce story almost a year ago. Worst thing that ever happened to me in my whole life! It was really tough at first but time and friends made it better as the days went by. I started dating again and going out and doing things. I am currently away from home and visiting family and friends out here in Cali and I just love it out here!!:D I feel like my normal self again being back home from where I grew up!!! And man, I must tell you, Cali girls are amazing just like I left them!!:p Now with your wife talking to these guys, they are just coworkers so dont be to hard on her. If its really upsetting you, sit her down and talk to her about it. Remember, communication is one of the most important things in a relationship.

I can relate to this a bit, I left the service last summer and am now back in school. My life seems to be crawling by, no motivation to do the things I love doing (climbing, mtn biking, running) or go meet new people. Im going grey and al that at 28years old. My only real motivation is to get my degree and get back to the real world, and to be a better man than I was yesterday. Just gotta keep moving forward I suppose.

Its not your fault alot of people that are coming out of the service are finding out there are no good jobs available because of the mess this country is in,so endeavoring to get on with a good career sucks right now for younger people.

You have to keep doing what you love. I love playing ice hockey. I have arthitis in my left foot. The bone on the top of my foot developed a bump, that bump got bigger and huger. Finally the doctor gave me a choice, ortho surgeon or podiatrist.
Here I am thinking, at 44, I am getting old. Yep I am. When I went to the surgeon 3 weeks later on a Tuesday, he hemmed and hawed about surgery. I stopped him and said, Look doc, if you told me to jump up on that table and you would fix it now I would. He got up without saying a work, handed me a card with a surgery date and said we will call you if there is a cancellation.
there was, 72 hours later I had a 3cmx1cm high bone growth grinded down.
36 hours later I was back to work, 3 days after surgery I had a shoe on it, 18 days after surgery I was back on the ice skating 3 days a week.
Don't let life slow you down, your body will do that for you. Do what you love, love what you do. Try things you would never have thought you would like.
If I had to do it all over again, Military 4 to 6 years, marry and raise a family.
Enjoy my family, enjoy my hobbies, and surely enjoy the adventures of life more than I did.
