Looking into getting a midrise shell for my DCSB Tacoma. Leaning towards a SnugTop Hi-Liner Sport but also considering a Leer 180. I saw my exact truck with the Hi-Liner and thought it looked good but looking online now I'm a bit mixed.

If anyone has one, I'd love to see yours!

Not a 3rd Gen, but I had a Leer 180 on my DCSB for 7 years. The extra headroom is nice.

That does look good! Do you have any other photos of it? For some of the photos online I felt wasn't quite my style.

    Like, so many.
I like the practicality. I don't like the aesthetics.

The camper shell outfit owner guy, told me that you take a pretty big gas mileage hit with these types of shells.

I went with the ARE MX. I didn’t notice any gas millage hit once installed but can’t compare it to cab height. The added head room and larger rear opening is really nice. Aesthetically, I prefer cab height but I’m a form follows function kind of guy.

Really like the look of the Leer 180 on the 2nd gen. Curious how they look on a 3rd gen? Seems like the ARE is more popular?
