Just found this video comparing the new tacoma, colorado and new ridgeline. Looking forward to more mashups between them and how the ridgeline does off road and towing up the ike gauntlet. Will be interesting to see how the new awd system does in the ridgeline.

It's very similar to the pilot suv, especially the front end...although some parts are different.

On the ridgeline you have to get a rtl-t or above to get the Apple or Android car play. That is going to start at 36000.

Yeah, honda is pricey, but that colorado wasn't that cheap either, and that was an LT I believe, which isn't a top trim.

Ridgeline just doesn't work for me. No long bed, no manual gear box and no low range. At that point I would buy a 6spd manual Subaru Forester.

At least twice he says the Colorado/Canyon can be had in Manual. Pretty sure that isn't so. If you actually can, I am pretty sure it is only on lower end stuff, not z71 v6 trims.

I can't help but laugh every time I see the Ridgeline. Seriously, WTF were they thinking with the design? It looks like a minivan or crossover with the back cut out.

Sad that the older Ridgeline was more of a truck

It is basically a Pilot with a bed. But, it does have the in bed trunk so you can keep an extra stash of tampons handy.

Ridgeline has torque vectoring AWD; very handy in the snow (much better than 4hi with no center diff). It has much better handling and ride quality than the Taco, more payload, and still plenty of towing capacity for a midsize. I'm not interested since it doesn't offer a 6MT, but I can see how it would be a perfect truck for most people. At least 99% of truck owners don't go boulder crawling.

I don't disagree, I'd probably get a 6MT Forester myself, but I need something that can tow my 5x8 utility trailer with 2-3 cubic yards of mulch. The Forester is rated to tow like 1500#.

Ridgeline seems like the new Subaru Baja. I wonder if it will fail like the Baja did.

This video makes me glad I have a Gen2 :)

Depends on your definition of fail. I would be shocked though if the sales weren't horrible after the first couple months, though. I just can't see this thing selling. I can't see it appealing to truck buyers, and I don't think the Crossover demographic, in large, wants a truck or they'd probably have one. And to top it all off, it just looks goofy. I don't get where the sales would come form in large amounts. I'm predicting 3-4k/month sell once the sales stabilize.

Seems like the Ridgeline is going to be a bit more pricey too....
