Dad has never had an issue with any of his and we do roadtrips to Disney every year in it. Mom had the ecoboost in her Explorer before her new Jeep, same never a single issue, only issue any of our Fords have had (even my brothers 2010 Exploder) have only been electronic stuff like first world problems with the firs generations of Sync, the new version is pretty flawless in Dads new truck. I think its the typical lets bash on Ford usual. I wouldnt hesitate buying on if I had the means. Fit and finish is actually better than any of my Tacomas. Now my Mom's JLU Rubi's fit and finish...

my buddies ecoboost was great until he hit 95k miles and now it’s left him stranded 3 times and needed some significant repairs like 6 times now. Even though his truck is rated for better mpg, he’s only getting about 1 mpg better on average than my tundra.

His an older iteration of the ecoboost? The first few had intercooler issues, etc. but hop on the F150 forum and plenty of guys are getting over 100k on them no issues. It is a turbo though and usually 100k and it needs some work. The new 10 spd paired with it gets killer MPG, my Dad's truck gets 19-20 consistently, not bad for a heavy, wide ass truck given my little Taco gets 20-22.

We've had 2 ecoboosts in the family now, no issues I wouldnt really be stressing it. But like you said can always opt for the extended warranty.

The new ones do, paired with the new 10spd, old ones not so much, they were comparable with the 5.0 coyote, so many guys went that route.

    I think it’s a 16? I don’t remember for sure. It’s a 6 speed, not the 10

The 2.7 or 3.5? I know the 2.7 definately gets good MPG, heard mixed reviews on the old 3.5 like you mentioned.

Base model raptor I'm guessing at $50k, what the 800A package supercab, you're gonna want the 802A trust me, and at least around here Ford did the same thing Toyota did and screwed up 2019 production overestimating demand, so they are sitting just like TRD PRO tacos, should be able to get a good deal off MSRP. I know last year my Dad had to deal with finding a dealer not charging market adjustment on his, he waited the dealer out for over a month and paid $68k for his with a $72 or 74k MSRP, cant remember, its fully loaded including the stupid ATV ramps he made them take out, it was one of the last lightning blues which was a must for him.

Ya I feel bad for those guys Ford overpromised on the MPG, the 5.0 coyote option was actually yielding simliar MPG if not better.

my pro was 49k this spring - depending on how you option the raptor, it can easily be 60-70 if you want anything above the base model.

Hey from KC! Any of you guys know of a sport hood swap/for sale for a black 2016 and up? I’m not having any luck in the Hood Swap thread.

Anyone need a 3rd gen PNP power tailgate lock? I’ve already got one and acquired a second in a grab bag of stuff I bought.
