That's why I was the hi-lift jack operator and you were the work on the truck operator

It's definitely worth testing out in your driveway to get used to how it works. The handle can have a lot of tension on it. Also, it freaked me out when lowering it and it slid down after the tension was released.

If you gotta use it from the side, make sure to open the door its in front of. That way if things go sideways it falls into the truck instead of the door. At least that's what I've been told.

Hmmmm.....never heard that one. Makes sense.... Then again, if things go sideways, I dont want my door getting wedged between two trees.... :notsure:

I heard its pretty hard to get a hi lift off a door once the weight of the truck is pulling it into it. Easier to remove a damaged door when SHTF.

If I’m worried about it being unstable and bashing in my door... I’d come up with another plan..

We used them at 2Fang several times, they can definitely be sketchy.
Used mine to do tire rotations on DP....

I had a lot of worries using mine the first time but I read the manual (strange right?) And just took my time and on a level or almost level surface, I think they're just fine.

Granted, if you get one of those off-road eagle jacks... That's where it's at
