Just made an appointment for front alignment on Friday.
Waiting in line for truck wash #2.
Picked up supplies for oil change, front diff change and transfer case. Rear diff was just changed out.
This old girl was good to me last week now I have to treat her right.

Took the tire to the local shop today. Cut was assessed as cosmetic, so reseated and all is good! We could have had some fun with fire boys... missed our chance. Anyway, good news there.

My truck has been fine since I left Moab, I’m guessing the slow crawling on trails just wouldn’t charge the battery up enough and I was charging too many things throughout the day/night. Jonathan’s we believe might have something to do with the neutral safety switch since his would click a few times, he wiggled the shifter, and then it would start. I’ll probably end up getting an AGM battery and looking into the booster mod that @Taco-Grinder talked about.

If you're going AGM, you can just put it on a trickle charger periodically to top it off, if you don't want to modify the charging system. I was told once a month would be sufficient.

Better yet, get a solar panel and it’ll charge when the truck isn’t running

    A few.
When I got my ‘20 tuned I had just put in an AGM battery, the tuner was able to adjust some stuff with the computer/charging system to to get a higher output out of the alternator. In my ‘02 I run a high output alternator which accomplishes essentially the same thing. I’ve never looked into 2nd Gen charging systems/alternators but it might be worth an inquiry to your local tuner? :notsure:

Trickle charge would work fine but you have to remember to do it. I like set-it-and-forget-it (well don't totally forget it but just lazily monitor every few months) so the HKB booster for me is the bees knees. Keep in mind if you buy one of their diodes/fuses that price on their website is in Australia dollari-doos and will convert to less in Freedom Bucks. Fixed booster works fine and is the most economical option.

3rd gen you have to get the tune done since voltage is controlled by ECU. 2nd gen can't do that, voltage is set by the alternator and doing the booster diode "tricks" it via the ALT-S circut to bump it up just a hair. Or if you want to really go crazy you can modify your alternator but that's a bit overkill unless you are already doing work on it.

Yeah they aren't always super easy to get and take a while to ship across the ocean. Order well in advance. They also have an eBay storefront that sometimes has them in stock when the website says they don't, but unfortunately right now it looks like they are out of stock on everything.
