except my mid west truck has been subjected to a MUCH harsher climate than his has been in
i blame IOWA for everything :stirthepot:
he has not really ever left the state of Colorado with that truck, maybe just TX and maybe AZ or NM

Nebraska is a harsher climate than Colorado? LOL

if you lived in Iowa you coulda got a new frame on your truck.

also you can’t go from Colorado to Texas without going through another state

i have not ever heard of FF until this past year from TW
just routinely hosed it down (what i could reach) at the local ghetto wand wash and had it undercoated when i bot it

i have to look at a map

I’m thinking of selling my newer MT tires to get into an all terrain. Let me know if you are interested, I’ll cut you a deal.

4 - 285/70/17’s Cooper STT Pro, approximately 6-7 thousand miles.

i have a question on your FF application
did it drip all over you while you were underneath?

i am trying to put some rustproofing spray on a 2nd gen single cab while the weather is in the 50s and making sure i hit all the 'key' spots

Na not too bad at all. The fluid film comes with a straw (like wd40) it’s definitely a little neater spraying it with it. The over spray is what will mostly get on you.

If it’s dripping, you are putting way too much on. You just need a coating, not a soaking.

oh, you didn't use a spray gun with compressor?
that is what i am trying to use, i also have the rattle cans of FF i was trying out without a straw

i will work on some pics of this 2nd gen, maybe tell me if i missed some spots that are prone to corrosion

the drive shaft was not bad (its all shiny now!), perhaps it is made of different materials than my 97 is

Yeah I just use 4-6 cans. I’ll go bananas with out the straw because it’s a wide spray. Then I’ll go over the tight spots or spots I missed with the straw on. ..........everything but the exhaust

Na you’ll be fine. If you do get some on your exhaust it’s not the end of the world

i was not sure how the 2nd gen exhaust is and what its made out of, if its like my 1st gen stock was it will eventually corrode and rot out
