Also the 16-17 have a frame corrosion recall so it’s really not any better

you probably do not have naked exposed metal to try and protect, maybe its more durable if there is paint on it :notsure:
you must do something different than what i have been doing

Not stays clean. Looks clean from a distance. It’s not like black where you wash it and 5 minutes later it looks like shit again

I have non truck things I’ve polished down to bare steel and coated with corrosionX 3+ years ago that have zero rust on them.

I would like for you to test BOE Shield also. I've used it on my woodworking tools for years, with great success. I tried it a bunch of years ago on several outdoor items, including under-hood and under my '02 Chevy 1500. I found, in my experience, that it washed off the underside of my truck too easily. It works as well as the ACF-50 on under-hood aluminum parts, I found.
Let us know what you find, please.

as soon as the weather warms up above freezing!, i could not find any ideal temp yet to spray BOE shield on a body panel part i need to protect that the FF just hosed right off an area exposed to constant road spray, and actually a rusty spot developed under the paint in this area last year

the FF that is in this old pic that is on the outer edges of my door looks to be completely gone after maybe 3 exterior washings, it has not rained heavily enough yet to see if the inside washes out through the door drain holes

but this is where i am going to put some BOE shield, there must be very small holes in this weak paint spot :notsure: no scratches that i have seen

This isn’t that difficult......the ff coats whatever it’s sprayed onto. It’ll repel damage from all the shit from the road. Most of the sludge and crap won’t stick and gets repelled from the product. What actually does dries onto it causes no damage due to the metal being coated. The next time it’s wet out, simply driving at normal speeds washes all that sludge off. During the season this happens to my truck several times and at any given moment you can look under my truck and it looks impeccable. The first time I ever applied it was 2015 when I bought it (it’s a 14) I used 6 cans, every year since I’ve used 3-4. There should be no need to power wash it once applied and if you do I’m sure most will be washed off. That to me is counter productive.....unless you want it off to test other stuff then I see the point. Here is my truck in November, ff applied, before first snow.

I see if the point is to test out all the different products but ff really is legit. Just put it back on and leave it, that’d be your best bet. @GQ7227

i have the experiment pics and the flash rust battle scars, it is very difficult
its best just to park this old taco in the garage i think and not worry so much
10k,12k,15k for a new frame is a big chunk of coin i do not wish to encounter yet until the engine is done for
