The primer in the product is where it all went wrong. No need to make the plastic soft to accept paint. Go with duplicolor. For painting in the future.

Why don't you take your current bumper, and have it plastic dipped white and call it good?

New one. The paint stripper and the pressure washer ruined the grille. There is no fixing it.

Not sure why your first coat wrinkled. Should have nothing to do with the bottom coat drying. In fact a primer coat HAS to dry 100% before you paint over it. Don't ask me how I know :anonymous:.
I effed up my center console. Is going to cost about as much as your grille to replace lol. It happens.

First coat wrinkling is likely a prep issue.

That's the weird thing though, I cleaned with water and soap let it dry and then put rubbing alcohol on then let that dry and a pretty well ventilated area...

Rubbing alcohol can leave a residue, IIRC.

    Google would confirm.

Anyhoo.. wrinkles or sags? Maybe laid on too thick?

Try using some brake cleaner. Should take that paint off pretty well without harming the plastic underneath. Test in a small area first and see how it works.

Definitely a prep issue then. My guess is the rubbing alcohol.
