Might be stuck midway through diff breather mod...

Update. Finally able to change the diff fluid today.
Glad I changed it. Current mileage: 2500 give or take 50. Front had more total metal sludge, but the rear was harder to get off the magnet. Going on a moab trip that'll put almost 4k miles on the truck next couple weeks, might just change it again.

Still deciding whether to go through the hassle of small claims even to just learn how the process is. Have a call (recorded) with Toyota corporate where they basically said I no longer have a differential warranty after the dealer "repaired" the factory mistake because they did it under good will. This is pushing me towards small claims to just force them to give me warranty.

 

Sorry to hear this, they’ll just bump it to civil court and make you get a lawyer
