That's why there's these things called engine swaps. Throw a Cummins in a GM with an Allison and you've got a tank right there.

I thought the video was hilarious, who cares if she' hot or not its still funny as crap. It's not like there isnt 300 million more hot girls out there. Come on, saying they must be gay? It just looks like they are some guys that dont give a shit and are in it for a good laugh, nothing wrong with that.

That truck in the video isn't a cummins and those guys are complete douchebags for doing that...The 5.9's are good but they're mated to the 48RE autos which are notorious turds (i.e. expensive to repair). The 6.7's have the Aisin transmissions (which are worlds better than the 48RE's), but in their factory settings, you'll be in the 10-12 mpg range unless you spend $2k removing the factory emissions equipment. With the 5.9 in a 4WD platform, you're in the 14-15mpg range in the city/18-20 hwy with a REAL light foot. I drove an 06 Double Cab short bed 4wd for years and thought the engine was great, transmissions sucked, and the rest of the truck was a complete pile of crap. Blinker stalks, window regulators, u-joints, front end bushings, a/c vent arm issues, door switches, the list goes on...The other downside is that anytime anything does break on the engine, it's VERY expensive even if you're doing the work yourself. The Toyota has a far superior build quality and resale value. I would stick with your Taco and pass on the Dodge unless you have a legitimate need for towing capacity.

I totally agree with this guy...I had a D'max and traded it on my Tacoma and I don't miss the diesel at all. It was fun to have and was really quick, but they are expensive and it really wasn't worth the extra expenses of having it. If I ever get back into a place where I need to tow something heavy often then I will pick one up again but if you don't pull stuff often its not worth the extra costs. Oil changes you will drop 50 bucks to do it your self, fuel filters at 30 bucks a pop, and 75 bucks to fill it up... it all starts to add up...I will say nothing sounds better then the turbo spooling up but I like having more money in my wallet now more haha.
