If any of you want to save some coin, HKB out of Australia has been selling something semi similar for years. It replaces your Alt-s fuse using a plug-in-play voltage boosting diode. It's resettable, if the fuse happens to over-current. Paid $50. Not sure price for 2nd gens. Been running it over two years. Both batteries are always happy.

Not trying to thread jack. Both they over all types of fuse types for most vehicles and the alternator plug won't come to be an issue.

This is thread jacking 100%. Make another post if you want to let members know that there is an alternative. The op has spent allot of time trying to put this together and continues back and forth with Mike ensuring there is a perfectly safe and valid product to use on all platforms. You simply stating that your not trying to jack, is a clear indication that you know it is.

I see the cold start voltage listed for stage 1 and stage 2, but what kind of voltage do we expect to see at normal operating temperature for both stages?

So it sounds like if I wanted to be above 14V at normal operating temp then stage 2 would be better than stage 1? Im just a little hesitant when I hear that the starting voltage is over 15V.

15+ volts only for a few minutes. Cones down to 14.8 or so in the morning on my way to work once the truck warms up.
