Fixed the taco lean last night. It was way noticeable. The truck was lower on the left by 3/4". Stuck an aluminum 1/2" top plate spacer in, pulled the old crushed 3/8" poly out.... which they advertise that those don't crush.... my ass. Anyway, stuck a 1/2" shim in the left rear leaf pack. Now it sits much better (my still look off... but parking lot slants). Would have had done it Saturday when i changed the oil and RBT'd the tires.... but usps sucks and delivered my parts 2 days late fuggin assholes.

    Does frame sit level?
Curious if it is all suspension or maybe body mounts or something else making the lean.

don't think so. I measured from the frame behind the trans cross member to floor (shop floor) and left was 3/4" lower. Now it's within a 1/4". My theory is that my heavy ass AGM battery, front diff, my fat ass, and gas tank are all on that side and there is nothing really heavy on the right side.

Also, my front shocks need replacing, and I know that the springs are sagging.... they're all 6 years old. soon....

Can't help on the fronts but I still have factory leaf packs from my 2015 Taco that were taken off at 11k miles. Interested?

    I'm always interested :D

realistically, my leaves are fine, the truck seldom has weight in the back. so at this point, if I replace the packs, it will be because I want to.

Lol. There is easier work with more benefit if you just want something to do.

so, I went ahead and ordered new U-bolts the same night that I put the spacers in because the edge of the bolts was even with the top edge of the nuts on the drivers side after the shim install :anonymous:

Umm, you're going to want to trim those down a bit or your bump stops are going to be your ubolts

I'm going to come back and retorque in a 100ish miles. I'll trim then. Can guarantee that the bumps (or bolts) will not see frame contact before then.

    :spy:

replaced some front suspension today.... the old 5100's were 7 years old/47k miles and the lower bushings were shot (making a click/clunk noise). Retired the tired Toytec/Eibach springs which were 6.5 years/43k miles old. went back and forth about what to go with, and I decided that the 5100's served me well, so I went with another set. Went with 887's this time. Painted the red. So now, no more click/clunk, no more at .85" on the shocks... much smother, back to desired front height

Belt tensioner pulley started singing louder than it had been after blowing through flood waters last week... :anonymous:

I had planned to replace the tensioner, pullies, and belt at 100k miles, but I had pushed it up to 90k.
