Were they 1.25"? I have been thinking about trying some .75" ones. These wheels are 16x7.5, and I've read the offset is anywhere from +10 to +15, with BS anywhere from 4.5 to 4.6". Seems like a .75" spacer might get them where I want them once I go with 35s.

They were 1.5" i got off of gideon. I was all up on the pinch weld with passengers in the truck. I just decided to ditch them since they are not necessary for tire clearance.

I might as well add some updates.

My truck currently has no a/c due to pressure getting too high in my a/c system and cracking the compressor casing due to a pressure relief failsafe in the compressor what was caused by mud still in my condenser. This happed on a very hot day when i was sitting in a drive thru line. I have since washed all the remaining mud out of the condenser and radiator. Need a new compressor.

Ordered an untragauge mx 1.3 the other night, so i can keep an eye on my engine temp. I also want to monitor voltage and other engine parameters. I don't really give a shit about mpg's, but I'm curious to see what i get.

I pulled off my side steps today. My wife doesn't know yet :spy: she obviously uses them to get in the truck, but she and the kids aren't riding in it anyway since I have no a/c. We just take her 4runner everywhere if we are together.

Ultragauge is installed. Love it. I had horsepower displayed but i changed it to show intake air temperature. The spot with mph now shows engine load %.

I've had the UG on my Taco for a few months. It's nice to have. I use it for MPH since my truck's speedo isn't accurate. :D

The Horse Power numbers aren't anything to gloat over! LoL I can see why you removed it. Never thought about looking at air intake temp - That could be fun in the winter months here.

Yeah, I'll have to revisit the mph reading. I figured it would be the same as what the speedo says, but I'll have to relook since i didn't really pay close attention to it.

The UG can be calibrated. Their manual (60+ pages) explains how to do it. You drive a known distance (3 miles for example, using mile marker posts) and then stop. You then go into the UG menu and it'll show you how far the truck thinks you drove. You then correct that number to show 3 miles. The UG figures out the percentage of variance and will then alter the speed and fuel usages based on the new distance measurements.

I'll have to do that... eventually. I have a printed sheet with the speed deviations from the tire size calculator that i keep in the glove box :anonymous:

Wired some bed lights and hood lights this weekend. I fucked up and ordered 20 11.something inch flexible waterproof led strips instead of ordering the 16 foot roll of the same strip. I ended up cutting the rubber lense stuff off of one end and soldering them together and heat shrinking them. So 15 strands, 22' of wire, and 3/8ths of a coil of solder later...... done. I'm into the project for about $35 (solder, heat shrink, butt connectors, and zip ties not included.... i jacked them from work :spy:). So enough talking here's the pictures.

This last picture is basically what i did (these two were the fuck-ups. The wires pulled out of the left one, and i cut too far into the right one when cutting the rubber lense shit
