Just wanted to hear some experiences / get some feedback with the registration process and receiving orders once placed into the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP). I'm code 50 right now and I'm officially done with my controlled tour in JUL 13. I've been reading up on AFI 40-701 but wanted to hear from you guys. Thanks.

Those that may be wondering about the EFMP process, I went by the Pope Airman / Family Readiness Center. You'll receive a packet of forms that either you're primary care giver / specialist or in my Wife's case Neurologist will have to fill out and you'll return to the Mental Health office (AF confirmed). This will get the ball rolling and get your family member enrolled in EFMP. This will also ensure that your next duty station has the means to provide adequate support. Yes, I should have done this as soon as my Wife was diagnosed with M.S.; however we were misinformed that it would deny us any overseas opportunity.
