The easiest way to convert someone to Pmags.

Wack both with a hammer then try to use them.

Can someone confirm if a PMAG with 30 rds can be inserted against a closed bolt (i.e. in a tactical reload)? From what I've seen the USGI steel mags can't do this, so the 30-rd mag is only a 28-rd mag in use.

    PMAG in use in Afghanistan:

yeah they can and so can a USGI mag, you just have to hit it

IMHO if a AR dosent have m4 feed ramps its complete trash. it will never feed right and your bound to have jamming issues.

As far as the "plastic" vs. "metal" argument goes, I have to say, I still have the same tendencies your dad does for certain things.

For example, I carry a Sig P229, which I chose over any of the Glock's I looked at. For some reason, the metal/poly guns just don't feel right to me...yet.

I will say, it is a total pain in the ass to carry my Sig in anything except jeans with a good belt on. The damn thing is ridiculously heavy with a full mag.

I will more than likely get a small Glock for concealed carry at some point...just have to get more comfortable with them.

    Good thread, by the way.

I use my 5.11 Operator Belt when I can, but sometimes the belt itself is too big for the belt loops.
