Had the recalled fuel pump replaced in my RAV4 three weeks ago. I am really upset!!! Have lost not only performance bit also now getting approximately 5 MPG less than before. Driving is same as well as gas, but this is not even same SUV that I bought new. Only have 41,238 miles on odometer and will now be paying minimum of $500 per year more to drive. That just stinks!!! My nice perky Toyota now drives like a dog.

Yes, having the same MPG loss after the fuel pump recall work. No other changes to the truck. Trying to figure it out will keep y'all posted.

Well, perhaps you were starving it for gas and now you get the same milage as everyone else? My 2017, No pump recall, gets around 18 or so mixed driving. I can sometimes get 20 on the freeway going 75 but that is about the best. Not mods that affect mileage. Stock tires/wheels, etc. Now power adders or tunes.

My dealer wouldn't sell my '19 to me until they installed the replacement; wouldn't even let me test drive it. I had to test another V6 on their lot. I've had the truck for 11 months and I've been averaging the same mileage others have mentioned elsewhere in this forum, mid 20's almost all the time. Non issue here

Yep....they unhooked the battery and now the truck needs to learn your driving style again. Both the engine and the transmission will relearn and mileage will return. Drive it like you always drive it will learn your style.

I had mine replaced two months ago. No drop in mileage or power noticed.
