    Exact same setup as you.

    2013 DCSB 4x4 Limited.

In Dallas and average 16.1mpg after 26 fill-ups on fuelly. Not pleased with the mpg but it is what it is.

I've never known any vehicle to reach EPA estimates for mpg. Those figures come out of a lab.

Beating the new EPA ratings should be easily achievable in any stock vehicle, but not if you drive 10 mph over the speed limit like most people do.

I average over 30 mpg on a vehicle rated 18/25 highway. Driving 60 I'll get 30-36 depending on wind.

You're rated 15/18, what's you normal driving? A lot of stop/start is gonna suck.

Well I made a long trip today. I figured 30% city-70% highway. I kept it under 2000 rpm's or right at it the whole time. My truck has 835 miles on it now. I figured in at 19.7 mpg. I filled it with 93 with no ethanol fuel a see if it is any better. next time.

Toyota says the 4.0 and 2.7 get the same mileage, 18-21. My 2.7 gets 20 on average.

Yeah you are not the first.

At front range altitude of 5300+ ft air is thinner, less wind resistance, and less power. I do hypermile including shutting off my engine on my daily commute. My commute is 10 miles of 45-55 and though there are 12 stoplights on the way I'm pretty good at avoiding having to stop.

Yet without any hypermiling, just driving 60 mph, I can drive Boulder-Denver and get no worse than 30 mpg winter, and way better in summer?

I drove to Mississippi a few years back and definitely saw the mpg drop with the elevation. Still couldn't get worse than 28 driving around the Delta in the summer.

That's with charcoal filter still in place and Toyota air filter with 40K on it (might change at 60K), modified intake does NOTHING to improve mpg.

I accelerate moderately but shift at 2000 rpm.

I drive like a grandma (according to the GF) and average about 20MPG on my 2010 TRD Sport DC 4x4 Auto. I live in Phoenix and do about 50/50 highway/street.

I 've only seen 18 mpg like 3 times with my first gen 2.7. And that's with about half highway half city.
