    His TRD offroad claims 22?

    2.7 5 lug might claim 22, the V6 doesn't.

Dad put hub disconnects on his '74 K5 Blazer.
Didn't make any difference in mileage, and that beast did not have a disconnect in the front diff... the transfer case just didn't drive the front shaft in 2H, but it still spun.
The Tacoma disconnects in the front diff... you aren't spinning much more than the hubs.

The sticker mileage is accurate for the 2.7 L. Totota posted the same numbers for the 4.0 L; they lied.

I took my 2013 V6 Sport on its first long trip this week and I have 5500 miles on it. I have a cap, so wind resistance isn't an issue, and the A/C was on. I got 20.8 on a 550 mile trip. Not great, not horrible. My 2006 V6 got just slightly higher, I used to see 21-22 on the same type of trip.

20.8 vs 21 mpg is splitting hairs don't you think?

I see you finally moved from Toyotanation over the TW hotrod53.

More happens here in 15 minutes than in 3 days over there.

It is 16/21 as noted earlier. I get 16 if I drive real easy in the city. Remote start doesn't
help either. I'll get 14 if I use it a lot.

Worthywads.... still on both but liking the extra activity on TW.

GB42.... not complaining, it's acceptable IMO, especially not even being broken in yet. I was mainly making a comparison between my 2006 and my 2013. On the good side, my 2006 got the same mileage at 175K as it did with 5K and is now within a mile or so of my 2013.

If you can find it, use non ethanol gas.

Going 65 down the highway for 320 miles last weekend, I got 23.6MPG on my 2006 offroad with topper, 4x4, and V6.

Rarely have i ever gotten less than 20mpg in this truck, and I have tracked it every tank for the last 50K miles.

Running AT tires w/ plate bumper and some extra weight I'm averaging between 17-19 per fillup. Depends how many days through the week I leave work pissed.

    Yup.
I love it. Mounted it above my mirror.

Some guys mount it on the dash, but IMHO, it looks too much like a small GPS, and you can't just unplug the box from the cable, you have to unplug it from the OBD-II connector, so if your cable is hidden you really can't remove it.
Mounted up above the mirror, it is hidden by the dots in the center of the windshield, and you can't see it from outside without kneeling down to look into the cab.

Non-ethanol gas to my knowledge is non-existent in PA. Just wait until June 1 when the reformulated gas is mandated, it will get even worse and cost more.

    Same in California.
The "Puregas" app shows a couple of locations, but as best I can tell, they are marinas, meaning that the fuel price does not include highway taxes, so it can't be used on the road (not that anyone would know), but also includes marina fees (taxes) so it is actually as much as $2/gallon more than that available at Chevron.

Interestingly enough, marina Diesel is a lot cheaper than it is on the street, but it is the red fuel that can't be used on the street, and they will find out... even Diesel pickups are being stopped on the road by DOT and "dipped" for dyed fuel.
