Lately my Miles to empty has only been reaching 341, while my tank shows full. I will pause between pumps, to try and put more gas in the truck after the sensor thinks its full, but this has happened probably 10 times now.

Anyone else ever come across this? Any help of feedback is appreciated

The miles to empty is bound to change - the computer learns your driving habits and adjusts based on the average mpg. The fluctuation is normal

Mine always shows something daft, I always get around 320 to a tank, and it always shows something a lot higher, so I just ignore it.

But for you it looks like it’s getting closer to predicting what you are actually getting. Reset you trip when you fill up, and see how close it is. Don’t try to put more gas in your tank.

Mine has only ever shown 385. Driving it for 14 months now. I must be a pretty consistent driver.

Mine has always shown 588. The off roads must have a bigger tank.

Or perhaps because mine is a manual.

do not try to add more gas after the handle shuts off. could result in the truck not starting. gas may creep into some kind of canister gizmo and will not start.

Runner ranges anywhere from 450 in the summer 360 about now. Just depends on the weather and where I've been lately

384 to empty every single time I fill up. I don't think the computer in my truck is learning anything;-)

I found the DTE estimate not quite accurate if something changes - like when I was towing my camper... it kept showing near 400 miles of range on a tank, even though with the trailer I was getting 14-15MPG, which would be 300 miles... that's a pretty huge margin. I could see some dumbass hit 290 miles and think "oh, it says I can go another 100 miles!!" and running out of gas.

Mine is at a constant 381 despite the fact I can only get about 300 if I’m lucky. I guess it just makes me feel better.

Funny, I get 385 or 416. I wonder why I get that extra mile.

I fill up all the way to the top of the pipe.....always see 385.....then as i drive, the numbers start changing depending on what the computer is sensing.....when i use the nav, i watch the range and miles left to destination and can compute if I have enough gas to get home......works pretty darn good...I left St George, Utah after fill up and got all the way home to Irvine California....the range fluctuated due to terrific head winds (40-50mph)....But when I got home, i had 99 miles left after 385.....computer was reading 23.0mpg....

I can rely on the computer most of the time now.....its pretty accurate

Every time I fill up, mine reads 392 miles to empty. I drive like the old man that I am. After two years, I just hit 2,454 miles. I usually need to fill up once every 3 months (300 miles). The way I count my mileage is by the month. I get about 100 miles a month.
