My '11 Tacoma is due for its last free dealer oil change. It is not my daily driver and I only put about 6-7k miles per year on the truck. I have gone in every 6 months for the dealer change even though I had very little mileage, but I figured it was free, so why not. I am going to do the oil change myself after the last free one and am thinking of changing to full synthetic with a once per year change.

Does anyone have an idea if changing once per year with low miles and synthetic oil will be ok?

I would think as long as you turn it on and let it run for 20 min a week or so it wouldn't hurt.

That would be fine. I do the same thing with my motorcycle. Some years it only gets 2-3,000 miles some years and, on those years, I only change it once a year.
