Yep, Both me and a buddy have these tires. Not much has been said because the roll out of different sizes has been very slow! The LT265/75-16 has been out for several months, but the LT285/75-16 has only been available for a couple of months. Be aware that the 265 is available in both an LT and SL version. Make sure you buy the right one! My initial impressions are very positive. Compared to my last 2 sets of tires, which were Yokohamas, these tires are a big improvement for my use. I'm running the LT285s
Pros:
1. Very light weight! These are perhaps the lightest tires in their class. They are 14lbs lighter than my Yokos, and that affects everything from acceleration to braking. Even though the 285 is listed at 51.8lbs, mine weighed 49 lbs on a calibrated scale!
2. They are very soft riding, despite being E rated, especially offroad. MUCH softer than the Yokos. I found that most E rated tires run pretty stiff on Tacomas. Even pretty heavy ones. This tire does not.
3. Not surprisingly, my fuel economy appears to have jumped up, possibly as much as 2mpg. More data needed. My acceleration is noticeably better, which is no surprise since I have eliminated 56 lbs of rotating mass!
4. Offroad, the traction on every surface I have tried is awesome. I have not run them in deep mud yet, but I am expecting acceptable performance.
5. They are still pretty new, but so far quiet.

So far I am super happy with them, and I kind of think they are one of the best kept secrets out there in tires. I'll bet that changes as people find out. This tire is the most advanced in the Milestar lineup. It uses their high strength "Miletech" rubber compound, which I guess is why it is so light. It is the only Patagonia model made in the USA (Tennessee). All the rest are made in Taiwan I believe. I don't know why. I have not tried them in every condition yet, nor have I seen how they wear. The typical Milestar MTs do not come with any mileage guarantee, but these actually do! I think 55K miles. That said, the rubber seems soft, so I won't be surprised to see 25-30K out of them. I don't run my tires past about 1/3 tread. One thing to watch is air pressure. These tires are a bit of an odd duck, which I think is part of their secret sauce. They are a crowned carcass design, which means that the tread does not run flat on the road unless it is under inflated. These tires need higher pressure in general, and should only be running on the middle, maybe 80% of the tread. Running them low will cause all kinds of problems, including premature wear. Most of the negative comments I have seen regarding Milestar tires stem from under inflation.

Very happy you gave such good information. Talking about the tire pressure, is the PSI listed on the door jam sticker sufficient or should I run them with more pressure than that? I am only getting 245/75R16XL tires for my 2015 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L 4-cylinder (standard transmission). (Not the E rated 10 ply). The door jam sticker recommends 30 PSI for each tire front and rear.

I order set of Patagonia AT pros in 285/70R17 SL rating. But, now I'm having major second thoughts. Should I switch them for the LT e-rated version? My truck's an '01. It's not a daily driver. I'll be using it for overlanding and hopefully some more challenging trails in Southern California.
