I'm not gonna jeprodize his career by putting something in print that I can't verify. I don't know what is scrutinized from his end.

Like I said, I'm civilian, I don't know if my writings are compared to his.

His rank is higher than Private.

That said, I’m still confused why a marine hasn’t randomly walked in and told us how his dick is in fact bigger than everyone else’s. Kinda odd, should have happened sooner.

Yes, but not what’s happening, who is there, what they are doing, who is not, why, when etc.. you know the important stuff. Guy doesn’t want him to get in trouble, will it? Strong nope, at the same time everyone has seen a example made on some minor shit. I remember a guy who lost a peice of equipment on eBay, took about a year but Fort Bragg called and he got a DD after paying for it. Probably made 50 bucks, which is really silly considering the other shit I’ve heard of.

not everyone is aware of what information can be shared and what can’t. If someone is wanting to be cautious then so be it.

to me, it sounds like each base may be on lockdown at base commanders discretion since others I know are not on lockdown.

sucks for the guys on post. The people who live on post are always the ones getting screwed. Base cleanups, housing rules, late night calls, etc... I’m glad I always lived off post.

I can't speak for other branches, but its a 40-100 mile travel restriction for most army bases conus. If you are oconus, your ass ain't leaving base. This is public information available on fb. Each installation usually has a media outlet of some kind. The mission continues, it doesn't stop for corona or whatever will happen next.

Where I’m at the post is open only to people with DoD IDs and necessary contractors and booze sales have been restricted substantially on post. If you buy your booze off post it’s not a problem since liquor stores are essential stores and stay open. I still go to work for a full day like usual and pretty much everything else is normal.

You guys have social distancing at all? My bro in law said they’re full retard for a couple days. 6 feet apart for accountability formations... imagine 250 dudes at 6 feet apart for each formation. No thanks. Formations are useless enough without the silly distancing making it even more of a joke.

We don’t do formations normally so that isn’t a problem. No real efforts at social distancing since the job can’t be done like that. There’s a fair number of soldiers who are not coming to work because their units’ aren’t considered essential or they have family members with medical conditions that make them more susceptible to infection.

my bro in law is new and still in TRADOC and will be for a couple years, so what I’m reporting here and asking about may not be the norm.

Not doing formations is nice, my first 10 years in I rarely did formations too, maybe once a month or less. Once I went to a conventional unit and started doing typical army stupid stuff I realized it was time for me to get out.

I'm stationed in Grafenwöhr Germany and they haven't locked down the post. We do have restrictions though. You can't be going out for no reason. Food, health care, fuel, and work. Alot of units are running at 20% and the rest stay home. I'm working at the NCO Academy and were still doing classes but they are all VTC. I leave to go do PT then I work the rest of the day at home.
