More Blue Angel history for ya!
The economical A-4F that replaced the Phantom.
And the best aircraft they've ever flew IMO, the F-4J Phantom II. Raw power at it's best!!

Really? i thought there were a good number of them still around. i have seen them up close multiple times, we use to have yearly air shows around where i live and ALOT of old WWII planes. i've been up inside a flying fortress many times. for such a huge plane it sure is cramped in there. My dad is a huge WWII buff and so i grew up around all that stuff. my favorite is the P38 and his is the mustang

Nada. I'm just a civilian with a lot of respect for members of the armed forces. And I am a huge supporter of the Canadian forces (which is rare these days).

Canada's military gets a bad press more often than it gets props. I've made it a personal mission to raise awareness. JTF2 is a shining example of where our forces should be headed.

Blue Angels F-4Js. When they flew the Phabulous Phantom in 1969-1973 it was some of the best shows I've seen (that shows my age). What a big and powerful aircraft!

This is CVN-65 Enterprise. The first nuclear powered Carrier. The second Nuclear Powered surface warship after the GCN-9 Long Beach. First three pictures is after her major overhaul in the late 70s. The last two are from the accident in Jan 1969 when a Zuni rocket detonated which in turn set off eight large caliber bombs. It was said the she could have become operational again in just a few hours if necessary.

The USS Enterprise CV-6, cruising in peaceful waters. One year later, she would be the Victor of The Battle of Midway.
The next picture is in 1958. She was berthed next to the Brand new USS Independence. She could not be saved as a museum and was sold for scrap ten days after this picture was taken. She was the most decorated warship in WWII.
