Hi Im new in the forum.

    A question for tou guys
does it is normal to get 14.5 miles per gallon in a new tacoma trd.? It is still break-in and I have been very conservative with the gas pedal. Im worry if this a problem or not.

I install the oem black 17” trd wheels. They are very light, the bed cover (40 pounds aproximatelly).

Have you calculated by hand, or is this just a couple of tanks with the dash guage?

If your overall tire dia changed, your speedo/odo is now off, and you have to compensate the calc by that % change.

Do you live where they are still using 'winter gas'? (that will be worse)

Do you live in a hilly/mountainous area?

What type of driving do you do? On the interstate what speeds do you run?

Have you tried searching and reading the dozens of other threads on MPG? Might find some hints in those.

That seems low for a mostly stock truck...mostly speed limit driving (65-72 on the FW), I would see around 17-18mpg when I was stock. Now, I'm lucky to see 14. Give it a few tanks and a few more miles on the truck.

Welcome to TW! There is a break-in period but that still seems pretty low. Do you mostly do "city" driving?
