Believe it or not that silver is the colour code that's on the door.

I like the pastel grey of the hyundai veloster. Would like to spray the whole truck that colour.

So I went to check out the clunking sound and I think Speedytech7 is correct. There is loads of play in the steering rack, very littile vertical movement but a fair bit of clunking with the drivers wheel off the ground and pushing on the tire back and forth at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock.
I pulled the boot off the inner tie rod and you can tell the play is in the rack.

Replaced a couple grease nipples on the drive shaft.
    3 more to replace.
In the process I found that the rear end is leaking and I also have a fuel leak I can smell.
Yippie. More things to fix and document.

    Thanks man!
I've gotten ahold of that document and went through the steps.
I'll be tracing that wire from the fuse panel to the ecm to see why the fuse is good and there is voltage in and out of that fuse panel but nothing at the ecm.
    Another project.

    A few updates:
I've ordered the parts from Toyota to do the steering rack guide update as per Speedytech7's suggestion.
I've ordered an aftermarket carrier bearing.
Although my research tells me toyota makes the best one, I can't seem to swallow the idea of paying nearly $300 CAN for one.
I am thinking of replacing all the u joints in the front and rear drive shafts.
I'm honestly trying to get that vibration eliminated. I know MANY people have tried, but I'm determined.
I think the suspension is feeling pretty crappy so I'm going to try and deal with that soon also.

    @ StAndrew and @Delta00
It's already lifted but it does not accept disturbances on the road surface very well.
Lots of noise, more so than before all the front end work and the suspension is so harsh and unlinear, as in it does not bounce and recover straight, a bump will throw you off to the side or diagonally from where you expect it to compress and rebound. At times it sounds like the bed is clanging against the frame and it really feels like the suspension is not taking the brunt of the shock from any bump.
I will qualify all that complaining with this, it seems to be like that when I have anything weight in the bed or the back seat, when it's empty (just me in the truck) it rides pretty normal without much fuss.

So I picked up a new Carrier Bearing.
I pulled the rear drive shafts off the truck to replace the carrier bearing and to clean up the u joints and grease them up.

I noticed this is not the first time this has been done.
The nut was not hammered into the tab in the shaft. eeek.
The gease that was used o the shaft was very farmers glue looking, very stringy.
I am about to take it out for a ride to see how it reacts. I have removed the 1" or so of stacked washers under the CB to lower it.
    Will report back.

Ok, so after a drive, it feels different but it's not gone.
I have to be honest some parts of the drive shaft disconnected where I did not expect and so it was not assembled as it was before.
Having said that, I have no guarantees that anyone who previously serviced the shafts mantained the same orientation from factory.
So I am going to try to adjust one shaft at a time, document and see how it reacts.

What is your lift? Depending on the lift, you may need some 3* axel shims and/or a carrier bearing drop to fix rear driveline vibration. There are some threads in the 1st gen forum on this.

I have done some extensive reading on the vibrations. No one has truly solved it. I believe that there is more than one cause and solution. Anyhow, I am interested in any suggestions any of you guys and gals might have.
