    So I added an engine, transmission etc assembly lube I have had for years to the face of the guide since it is essentially a bearing.
    I also used a couple drops to hold the spring in the place on the i side of the threaded cap.

    So I put everything in place and torqued the cap down to 18ft lbs and then backed it off 19* as per Toyotas instructions by means of a magnetic angle finder. (I've ordered a digital one from fleabay but it won't be in until next week)

    After I tightened the ring nut down tight to prevent the whole thing from loosening it's way out.

    I lifted the front drivers tire and pushed back and forth on the tire at the 3 oclock and 9 oclock positions and NO NOISE OR MOVEMENT IN THE RACK!!!
    WOOHOO!

    The final test will be actually driving it but I will report back.

    So after driving the Tacoma home it seems like the clunking is gone!

    Just a heads up on this attempt.
    So far, not so good.
    I'll keep trying but I believe I may need to leave this to the professionals with balancing equipment.
    I assumethey may take the shafts off the truck and balance them.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
    Its not too expensive. Call ahead, I think they do have to take the shafts off. Might save a few $$$ if you just brought the shafts in.

    Had to extend a power wire that feeds the fuse box under the hood (not sure why) and then tidied the wiring on the battery.

    Your going to want an extended rear brake line with that. I recommend the wheelers offroad braided one.

    Any plans for the front? If you have any questions installing the dakar pack ive done it twice now on my truck haha.

    Unfortunately I'm not starting from scratch as someone has already modified the suspension in this truck.
    Do you know if factory ubolts are long enough to accomodate this leaf pack?

    In the front I have some Billy's and some silver springs that are raising the front end to keep it the same height as the back. That's the way the truck came.
    I will be changing the front to OME equipment to match the rear, but not right now.

    I would reccomend new U Bolts however its not completely necessary. I helped install some all pro leaf packs and we reused the stock u bolts but there were probably 2-3 threads showing on the other side if the nut. After you put in the new leaf pack retorqe you u bolts at 200 miles then 500 miles.

    In for an MVI,
    I hope it goes good. I hate this part, stressful even though I do my own work.

    So results are, needs a windshield (Knew That), the ebrake mechanisms are sticking and power steering rack is leaking (Knew That).
