    It was just a drive...
I took it out and got it stuck on some snow in 2WD and then put it in 4WD and got out.
    Thats all. :burnrubber:

    Thank you Brendan!
I have been busy with other things as of late and haven't been spending much time in the shop with my truck but certainly more is to come soon.
And I am totally loving your '16 Tacoma!

    lol
    I know I know.
I have to think about this. I haven't been doing much to my truck.
I was busy getting the parts truck apart so I could have my shop back, that is pretty well done.
I've sold a lot of items from the parts truck.
    I've been on vacation.
I've injured myself 3 ways within two weeks
And I've gotten the mutant cold flu thingy that hangs on for too long.
And because of that other work was piling up.
I'm getting most of that work under control and can maybe get back to doing something to the truck.
No sympathy needed, just letting you all know why there has been no progress on my truck.

So I've been thinking of swapping the engine in the tacoma with the one out of the parts truck. It has 200,000 less kms on it and the timing belt and water pump maintenance was done 31,000 kms ago.
The previous owner said he was getting 600kms to the tank whereas I get approximately 450 max.

I pulled the plugs out of the other engine and cleaned them up. I am measuring the resistances of the coils and wires to verify they are ok.

I will have to replace the oil pan on the engine before it goes in the truck because it's pretty rusty.

What else...I cleaned the shop up and got rid of a lot of junk steel from the truck. Next will be garbage and plastic. That will give me some more room in the shop.

Well, I have a couple of interested people ready to buy the motor I'm pull out of my existing truck. I think that the main pulley or harmonic balancer would have to go with the engine.
Sorry Chris, otherwise I would part with it. It would be pretty heavy I think.
I might have one in my spare parts from my CR-V if you want it lol.

I got my sand blasting cabinet up and running today. Removed the sand that was in it and replaced it with recycled glass. I hear that the dust the sand kicks up can be pretty harmful to the lungs.
I have to make some more adjustements to it but I tested it out on my spare tire support bracket. Turned out awesome.

I have this in the shop for the next few days.
I sold the rear end and some other parts out of the parts truck to a local new tacoma owner and he hired me to install the rear and and do some other maintenance on it in order to get it inspected.
Once that is complete he is taking it in for a frame replacement.
Chances are it'll be back in the shop to get some more work done to it but just some essentials for now.
If he is ok with it I may share the progress we're making on this.
