Class D extinguisher is preferable. The plastic case often melts rapidly but the battery will often burn out pretty quick. As mentioned the stuff nearby is a major concern.

I have 12+ BC and ABC GOOD extinguishers on hand. 5 of them quite large, the others large. B preferred.

 

I heard what sound like a gun shot coming from the room. When I looked in the draw I found pieces of battery through out the draw with a nasty odor. Plus batteries group together in the corner.

By talking to different people the only logic answer was from heat from a hotter than normal summer plus the batteries were probably pass their expiration date. Also, possible a defective battery.

 

I prefer in store purchase of battery pack but it look like I may have to place a online order.

I bought that combo but haven't really used it enough to comment on it. I was originally going to buy the 1/2" impact but the specs are exactly the same on the 3/8" model and I realized that I have a wider range of impact socket sizes in 3/8".

 

It’s out of stock sadly. $500 is out of the range currently anyways as I just got clazzio seat covers. I have to spread my spending around or my wife starts paying attention lol

 

Has anyone tried the Milwaukee Super Charger?

 

My first M18 Fuel tool was the drill, it came with charged and 2 XC4.0 batteries. Ii got it in 2016 I believe. I've used it a fair bit, and never had any issues with the drill, charger, or batteries.

Since that, I have also purchased the Jigsaw, leaf blower and 7.0" Skill Saw (which came with an XC12.0 battery and another charger). I love them, they are very solid quality tools so far.

 

i have it, think it was $250 with an 8.0??? Not sure it was a year ago

love it, stupid fast, wish it did 2 batteries tho. I have the 6 pack charger as well but that is more of a battery caddy

 

Now it's $299. My Home Depot was out of stock on the kit, but had a space on the shelf for them. Hopefully they'll be back in stock soon.

Do you have any other Milwaukee charger to compared it to?

Supposed to 2X quicker than the Rapid Charger.

super pretty much replaces them all, I do like the 6 pack since you can load 6, bring it inside and let it charge overnight then just pick it up and go

 

Any ideas on when the next "good time to buy" is on some M12 tools? I'm trying to keep an eye out for a deal on the stubby 3/8 Impact.

 

Nice collection! I just picked up 3 battery pack the last time I was at Home Depot.

Does the 6 batteries charger, charges quick? Since it shares the charging amp between 6 batteries.

 

No, it’s more leave the batteries on there and it will charge them, just so you don’t need to remember to swap batteries. It’s sequential, so does one at a time, I’m not sure if they have a 6 port rapid charger for m18, they do for m18/m12 6 port (I believe)
