@LarryDangerfield posted their BF deal from HD. I ordered on Thanksgiving, and it showed today.

It’s not a bad deal but…. I have the mid torque in M12 and M18. (Wife bought me the M12 for my birthday not knowing what I had) that being said the M12 is my go to. It fits better in tight spots and is way lighter. You can get into the M12 a little cheaper https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...0-Ah-Starter-Kit-48-59-2440-2554-20/322135722pair it a 4.0 or 6.0 battery and it will do everything except say like the bolts under the spindles or crusty U bolts. It will remove lug nuts though. Looks like this deal has a spare 2.0 as well. Just my .02

650lbft vs 250lbft nut busting… IIRC the m12 actually has been tested to more like 320lbft on a bench test?

Yeah I guess if you want to compare M12 mid torque against a M18 high torque but that’s not really what we are talking about.

The M18 at 650lb is not high torque, it's mid torque

    Huh?

That'd sell quick, I'm sure lack of exposure has something to do with it (never even saw that post myself).

I need one myself but too far.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I already have that M12 Fuel and it's my go to for lug nuts.

I see a lot of posts about the impact wrench/drivers, but am looking at the M12 (I am in that ecosystem) rotary tool only option at HD. Anyone have that thing, good for grinding/polishing/chamfering aluminum? Granted, I only started at page 168....

For a Dremel clone, it’s fine. Probably not the best tool for the use case you described. Maybe one of the die grinders would work better.

Die grinder or you could try the M12 polisher.

    i've had 3.

my advice-- they're supposed to debut a fuel version in 2024. i'd wait for that if possible.

it works. they're great for area's that there's no access to power. but it has no balls, stalls easily, and the motor controller isn't very happy when it stalls. that's how i've ended up with 3. i stalled them out trying to grind things, and then the motor controller flips out, and stops working after enough times...

Anyone notice a lot more fore/aft anvil play with the 1/2" Gen 2 M18 Fuel mid torque impact wrench, compared to Gen 1? Pretty loud click sound when the motor comes to a halt, too. Maybe I got a lemon.
