Smallest one is my daily carry. Just bought the one with the screwdriver built in so I am going to give that a go.

M12 23 ga pin nailer or m18 18ga finish nailer? Is one a better fit than the other for crown, trim, baseboard etc?

18G has many more applications. 23g is for tiny trim or pinning glued outside corners.

    I have both btw

I have an air powered narrow crown/ 18g nailer that hammers the crap out of the material I use it on. Mostly I just use it now for chicken wire and 1x stuff that’s going to be painted but I’m looking to do more woodwork with stain finishing instead so I don’t want as much intrusion from my nailer.

When the depth is set properly you should only have a hole the size of the head. 18G is still easily filled when the depth is set properly. 23G is tiny, but not a lot of holding power/strength.

I reset my depths each job/project. Older framing is much more dense than newer stuff. It matters.

You may know this, but I was taught this many years ago to reduce blowouts. Worth sharing anyway. Applies to 15g and 16g too. Especially important on stain grade. I still see too many people & videos doing it incorrectly.

Couldn’t find my Husky utility so I bought the 1505/1500 two pack. I day later I found the Husky of course. That’s OK, I like the Milwaukees better. What’s the first thing I cut with the new 1500? What else!

I got that Milwaukee finish nailer last night at Home Depot. Didn’t even need it, I have the Metabo 18v 15g and probably some pneumatics somewhere.

Wasn’t even yellow stickered. I just saw it and for $88….might as well.

Wonder why they're blowing those out. The Gen II isn't that old.
