I think you would be amazed by how much of your truck you can dismantle with one of those ratchets and a couple 10mm and 14mm sockets.

I have a brushed version. Got it free with another tool. Thought I would use it.

When I used it for the first time it was love at first use. Especially where space is tight.

I have a coworker who is retired Navy who said that it changed his life and that he prefers the non fuel version because they are smaller diameter and fit into smaller spaces. He also introduced me to half depth sockets so there’s that…

They are great, I prefer the non fuel 1/4 and the fuel 3/8, the speed fuel ones look cool but I haven't gotten to try one out.

it's a different tool for a different job. a few co-workers have the m12 ratchets, i have an Amazon-special 'meagle/tmg' 3/8" ratchet. mine is less powerful, but they tend to get used the same, but very differently from an impact. that was my biggest misunderstanding of them..

look more at a ratchet like a weakly powered wrench. once the bolt is loose, they're ideal to spin the bolt the rest of the way in/out, especially in tight spots. but if they manage to hit 20ft/lb, i'd be surprised. they're no replacement for even a small impact though.

Which is kind of what I’m looking for. Seems the 1/4 would do me better. I have all m18 stuff besides this

I’ve learned to be careful with the M12 ratchet. I was assembling some furniture and didn’t expect it to have as much torque and busted the area that holds the bolt.

Replaced a bunch of blinds for a customer today. That M12 Installation Driver is perfect for such tasks. That magnetic strip is just awesome for holding all the mounting screws.

Interesting. I think of my 1/4” as really small I almost see no need to have a powered 1/4” ratchet because generally the tool is already small it’s just as easy to just use a screw driver or adjustable head ratchet.

    4 run, 2 don't
Same, which is why I went 3/8" Fuel

It has a lot of torque on its own for being just a ratchet; has unzipped tons of bolts without the need for a breaker bar or impact even

Ironically enough, the wife had me measure the basement windows for blinds. I did so, and we grabbed blinds. I went and said, ah, I need an excuse to use this driver and did so accordingly for the blinds too

IMG_7490.jpg If things work out right Wednesday my installation tool is going to get a work in our kitchen. It had a pretty easy day today only putting a shelf and a bed frame together.

The M12 one is awesome, I'd be real interested if I didn't already have that one.

So I found the limitations of the CP2.0 batteries the other day. Needed to run a 2" holesaw through about 3" of stud and flooring for a drain. Yea, like 10 seconds in it wiped out a full charged battery. Dammit

Saw wasn't long enough anyways so I had to break out the 2" Forstner bit :anonymous:

    At least this wasn’t you.
    upload_2024-2-25_7-5-59.jpg

This isn’t the 1st time I’ve seen this either. These beasts have some torque and if you’re not using the brace handle it can really do some damage, even to itself.
