Every time I reach for this 1/2” high torque gun I smile. It makes things too damn easy. Rip out the spindle in preparation for welding gussets on? 1 hour, done (the lion share of which was a stuck tie rod end).

It's not near powerful enough to be very useful. Everytime I grab it I'm disappointed. Won't do any suspension or drivetrain that I've attempted. I always end up using a breaker bar to get things loose and then a battery ratchet to finish it off. It's definitely not worth the money.

Interesting. Can I be a used as a breaker bar itself or is that not possible?

I own and love my 90 degree 3/8 impact, I find its good for up to 17mm bolt heads, its definitely not as strong as my stubby 3/8 impact but I use it when there's not enough room for the 3/8 stubby. Just keep that in mind if your planning on buying it. I should mention that I use a 3.0ah xc battery, the 2.0ah compact batteries do seem to limit the power, but thats also true for the 3/8 stubby.

Hmm. I use a 3.0 xc too and haven't found it to really do much. Did a bunch of suspension work last summer and it didn't break a single bolt I tried. Wouldn't do caliper bolts or LBJ bolts. Did do UBJ nuts, but those only torque to 45 ft/lb. I leave it in the box now and don't even try it anymore.
