Home Depot. They’ve been blowing them out pretty much across the lower 48. My local HD was sold out, but a HD a few towns over had it.

edit: as far as narrowing down which store has inventory; I use BrickSeek.

Best way to buy additional batteries is usually to buy a tool kit. Generally the tool ends up NC compared to just buying batteries alone.

the best way, especially if you have all the tools is to get a special buy, buy the kit like you suggest, then return the tool you don’t need for the prorated price.

Saw that too. Problem is real estate. My garage is crammed full and I’m not building a shop with today’s inflation so yea. A dedicated bandsaw will be on my radar. I been looking at Jet saws. I got the little red drill press from HF and although it’s not that powerful, it beats hand drilling through thick steel. Plus that M18 drill I got almost broke my wrist lol

Does it cut square? I had to modify mine some 2+ years ago.

with the cut size of the larger hand-held bandsaws, that mounting rig would be more than enough for most needs up to about 4" square stock, which is plenty large enough for most home shops. i don't cut anything larger than that at work building trucks.

my issue was that i have the m12 band saw, and a sawzall, but lacked a method of cutting anything beyond handheld accuracy, or a method to controlling blade deflection.

2 years ago when i got it, swag offroad was the only one that offered a mounting option for handheld bandsaws, and it's designed for table top use, not longer stock cutting.
    https://www.swagoffroad.com/products/swag-portaband-pro-table

i'm definitely at a space premium as well. the bandsaw went into the basement, which is entirely inconvenient for most of the projects that i build in the garage. and it's too heavy to be moving back and forth. it's a big pain to drag stuff down there to cut, then drag it back up to the garage. but i'm already pushing the limits of capabilities of my garage, so it can't live in the garage either...

now i'm looking at a press for forming/bending, and that must find a home in the garage somehow...

close enough. most of the projects i've done on it so far involved using it in the upright metal bandsaw mode, which i built a slide jig for to keep cuts square.

i've only just recently broken into larger stock projects, but haven't needed to mate 2 edges together, so haven't compared how far off it is.

the jet band saw at work measures square, but cuts about 3/32" off square. i just plan accordingly when using it. close enough, nothing a flapper disc can't fix!

Gotcha, was considering their larger model as I have the older version you have.

The guide is what I modified (easily) and it gives me really nice square cuts, but often times find myself needing something bigger so either look into their larger model (if it cuts reasonably well) or pony up for an Ellis.

i tend to avoid those, especially after the whole scam of the $29.99 laser rust removal tool-- those start at $13,000.

i would suggest checking etsy or similar, as there's more chance your purchase will benefit an individual, instead of feed the next ad cycle.

Another company posted in this thread offering the same.

It isn't hard to cut something like that as the cost of raw materials is much cheaper than the asking price.

Once you've got a design, it's just rinse and repeat.

all i know is i started looking into consumables, saw that just one common consumable is $2,500, and realized that the entire package for $30 is a scam--i admit, i really was close to purchasing it, but something told me it was too good to be true somehow.

and once i saw the consumable price, i then understood that facebook allows anyone to knowingly scam everyone with products that can't exist, and trust in their advertisements turned me from low to lol.
