For a tradesman, yes. But I've been plenty happy with my harbor freight 10" for the few times I've needed it. Lots cheaper, mostly coming down the the accuracy in the baseplate. I just use a speed square to verify the angle before cutting

    I don’t think that’s tradesman specific.

You’re happy with a 10 inch Harbor freight miter saw, but of all the handy people that could be on the internet, there’s a ton of reasons to use certain saws with certain features….like a 12 inch sliding miter for 6x6 post, or 7 inch nested crown molding…which is why I have my Dewalt 780 for instance.

That particular saw linked, all though a 10 inch, is useful for a miter saw station in a garage shop, for like, woodworkers in small spaces, where the back has zero clearance so you can have it up against a wall, on a cut station or whatever.

my deal of the day was a police auction.. picked up an m18 fuel 2997-23 kit-- hammer drill, 1/4" hex impact, sawzall, 2 5.0 batteries, and a charger, brand new in a sealed box for $290... also got a bosch brushless 1/2" square & 1/4"-hex combo impact and 2 2.0 batteries for $40, was just too cheap not to pass up...

I just use the ratchet set I have. Unless you have a Godzilla impact mild steel sockets are fine for occasional use with a small impact gun.
