The M12 platform is outstanding. You're GTG.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
My only regret is not pulling the trigger sooner. I don't see myself using my M18 drill or driver much anymore. I don't do any big construction jobs that'd need the M18 stuff and these are so much smaller and easy to handle.

I'm using my drivers hard on decks, porches, general carpentry, etc. For intermittent use, the 6 0's are probably just fine.

That makes sense. I use my tools intermittently on truck maintenance.

Sad that I havent gotten this new impact yet. I keep seeing review videos all over instagram, but I dont have mine yet. Also, Im kinda used to the button switching now. I dont mind it. The 250ftlb one handles all that I throw at it. Our trucks dont even need more than that.

Nice thing about the m12 inflator is you can rig it to run off the 12V vehicle battery in a pinch by just connecting to the battery inputs in the tool. I do that with some of the m12 lights too, never had a problem.

Why are we adding air to our tires for the winter?

It won’t be icy all the time, and you’ll wear out ur tires if they are deflated over a period of time. Ice wont do anything for traction. For deep snow, or sand then maybe drop to what, 20? But that’s not all day

But really only a couple pounds right? Say I run my tires normally at 31 cold. Then the colder weather puts them down to say 29. Is it imperitive that I apply more air?

In my nearly 40 yrs of winter (yes, real winters here in Maine) driving, I've never aired down for winter traction. And on ice, only studded tires will provide traction.

You guys might think I’m talking about actually letting air out of my tires for winter. Not the case. Just thinking if left alone, then the couple
pound psi loss wouldn’t be an issue.

That could happen in one night. More if there's a 30 degree temperature drop. Multiply that by days & weeks and you're down 10+.

I check mine every couple of weeks or after a particularly cold snap (sub zero temps at night).

+/- a psi or two isn’t going to harm anything, but like a M6- it’ll leave the light on.

So basically a tire could literally lose 10 psi between September and December in Maine if left alone? I can see where adding air is needed.
I grew up in upstate NY and have lived in Western WA for the last 28 years so it doesn’t get that cold here. A couple psi drop isn’t a big deal here. Thanks for clarifying this quandary of mine. I’ll let the thread get back to regular programming :)

Yes, a couple PSI here and there isn't a big deal. And yes, if unchecked, PSI could easily drop 10 in a month or less. More over the course of the entire winter (Dec, Jan & Feb).

Out here, we have really cold days and the next day can be 80* and it’s back to it’s normal PSI after saying losing a few PSI
