I think it came out around 2 years ago. That may explain it.

 

I bought that exact impact about 2 years ago and it came with a free 5AH battery back then as well.

I've had a couple of my M12 tools for 7 years I think now. The collection has only grown. Finally bought the M12 3/8ths ratchet with two 6.0 batteries for $199. After using it a few times I now feel stupid for not buying it much sooner.

Don’t worry after having it for a couple months I found out it’s actually a ratchet. If it doesn’t have the beans to pop something free as long as you don’t hold it by the battery it can pop most not completely rusted on bolts and nuts free. I’m not saying lug nuts but driveline bolts no problem.

 

I knew this going in since I had used one a few times, but it saved me a ton of time getting nuts off after I broke them loose. I actually caught myself a couple times going to grab the battery for leverage and stopped myself.. good advice

 

If you want to return the battery you can get this with a boot on a bundle for $155 plus tax at Home Depot.

 

Doing some cleaning today and had to get a family picture

 

Ours comes with us in the TT when we go camping, fits nicely under the seat. Keeps things much cleaner, than a broom alone. Just wish it had a little more suction. Probably will end up with the m18 version one day. M12 compact inflator has been clutch AF too out there, blow ups and tires.
