I still have the shop vac, from what I hear they make some of the best shop vacs and it has performed well. What they don’t tell you about the warranty is it could take up to 2-3 months to get your tool back. Granted that’s better than no warranty but that is too excessive of a wait time for me. Wish I would have spent the extra cash and went Milwaukee from the get go like yourself haha. What does your Milwaukee collection look like?

I started with Ryobi in 2010 when they had a 18v drill/impact driver kit for $99 on a Christmas special. I liked all the tools at the price points until I went up to the BIG tools, they just didn't meet my expectation.

In 2016 I was doing a house renovation and my father-in-law bought me a M18 Fuel 6 1/2" circular saw, I was hooked! At the time I was living in Milwaukee as well, and a lot of my friend worked for Milwaukee Tool, I started building a small collection as my Ryobi tools got phased out, not by age or damage, but by the allure of the RED TOOLS! I have stayed away from the M18 weedwhacker even though it was on my list, it seems like everyone who has one has had an issue.
    M18 Fuel Circular Saw 6 1/2
    M18 Fuel Hammer Drill
    M18 Fuel Stick Vacuum
    M18 Chainsaw
M18 Spotlight (NIB don't know if I will keep it or sell it)

    M12 1/4 Hex Impact
    M12 3/8 Drill
    M12 1/2 Hammer drill
    M12 FUEL 3/8 Impact Wrench (2)
    M12 Oscillating tool
    Oodles of batteries for both.

I’m hoping it works out… I’ve got a mini storage facility that I currently use a larger Kobalt cutoff tool for the locks of abandoned units… If the 3” discs aren’t big enough I’ll be offloading immediately.

I was actually thinking of getting the string trimmer. What’s the issues with it?

Seems like it has a really low thermal cutout or something. I can’t cut uninterrupted for very long before it gets to where it stops and I need to release the trigger and go again, the more it does this the shorter between stalls it gets. The “repair” didn’t seem to help much. I’ve assigned the power head only to pole saw duty where it isn’t in much long run demand. I really should get in contact with Milwaukee directly and see if they’ll just swap it out for a new unit.

Online orders are usually run under a "different" business and so I don't know how that works with loss prevention on things like this. I know that individual stores run different clearance sales to just clean shelves even at a wash or loss on profit. My H-D store has a whole section of 50% 2021 model weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws and 2stroke little tiller/cultivators on half price right now because for whatever reason the Toro/Makita/Echo products are not moving and they just got a truck load of 2022 lawn products; but if you buy online those items are full MSRP.

To be honest I’m thinking it’s an “exception not the rule” type thing, as I see a lot of good reviews on them.

We can thank all the POS's that like to steal everything for this. Packaging now a days is almost deterrent to making legit purchases. LOL

Yeah my HD is locked up tighter than Fort Knox, has been for a while. Unfortunate side effect of living in Meth Virginia
