Mini H1 installation tips for a 2012

I've read multiple threads from multiple sites to get a pretty good grasp on the overall process. What I'm looking for are any pointers or helpful insight specific to the 2012 headlight assemblies. I've seen where the alignment ring needs to be modified slightly in order to get the projectors horizontally level? I may not have worded that correctly but if anyone has any expierience with the newer headlights I would be grateful for any tips to make this as smooth as possible. Also opinions/ options on which way to wire the halos in as well would be appreciated.

 

Any one with a 2012 gonna offer any advice?

He's been great and answered my questions so far. I was just curious if anyone else had messed with the alignment ring that had any tips. I know how I'm gonna wire my halos. I'll be blacking out the shrouds so I think hiding the wires should be fairly simple. So overall I'm pretty confident I'm ready to rip open my only set of head lights and get started but any additional info would be great.

 

If you use the DRL's for power will the halos flash with the blinkers?
Any advice on the alignment tabs?
