I vote keep the '09. Think long and hard about what that extra $23k is actually getting you. I don't think that math works out.

Oh ok that clears things up a little bit. Any idea suspension wise what it has OP? Looking forward to the assessment. What suspension does your truck have OP?

I have the 3 inch toytec, 1 inch blocks in rear, leaf springs sagging like grandma's bobs. 285s on method rims. I love the truck I currently have except for the headlights. They just look bug eyed to me and it bothers me. Petty, i know. Wish I could just change the headlights and grill instead of the whole front clip. The suspension is what came on the truck and I have plans to upgrade. Pretty sure the coils have quite a few miles on them.

    Too few to list.
Nothing wrong with the 09 Sport. Just older and more miles. No injection pump and valves to maybe hassle you down the road. If the 15 is also 4x4 and your wallet can support it, I say go with your heart's desire. Don't want to make payments on something that's just "okay". I prefer an Off-Road than a Sport. I like the A-Trac and the locking diff. I don't like the bro lean though.

Also I'm not sure where you are but where I'm at, 4x4's are harder to come by and they hold a premium and go real quick!

I get that man, I bet you could source together parts though to convert without much issue. I mean a grill isn't much especially if it isn't color matched. The headlights can be had for a few hundred and you would need a new hood. Might be worth making a "feeler" WTB ad for some of these items? I just don't know if you would need a new back area behind the grill that hooks up with the engine bay?

Well, the good news is one picture made me decide to keep my truck.....

Ok,ok,ok....i will share it with you. 20170630_151250_zpsyhppovml_699273bf0aa67ff22405f832fe45accc69f23748.jpg
Not to mention the 3 inch block in the back and leaf springs with reverse flex. They really killed the suspension just to fit 315s under it.

Don't do it man...... when you look at that 2015, you're thinking " if loving you is so wrong then I don't want to be right".... but what you should be thinking is " is this new one really that much better than the one I have? Won't they both just end up old except the ball and chain will be lighter on the one I have."

The basket on the 12-15 was nice though. Did you ever take 12-15 out for a test drive? With a lift spacers made out of square tubing and stock uca im sure it would have made for an interesting ride

I never did, I did ask if a contingency to the sale would be them putting it back to stock or close.....no dice

Glad to know you kept yours. Fencing material should never be used on a lift for any vehicle. It sure was “custom” though

Get some retros and a new grill. Make yours. More appealing to you. I went down the same road but I couldn't reconcile a new loan for the same exact truck. Esp after frame replacement and the dealer trys to pry it from me whenever I go too.

He did. The picture on my post above yours is his truck. Nice retros and a nice grill. He also upgraded the wheels and tires. Turned out to be a hell of a nice truck with the changes.

    I say go for it.
Newer truck, will last you longer.
I love the fact that everything is paint matched. That was a lot of money from the previous owner. But just make sure the paint jobs are good and the previous owner didn't do a shitty job painting the grille and bumper.

The only negative I see is the lift kit. I would be too embarrassed to drive a truck with a Bro lean like that. The first place I would drive it is a shop to redo the suspension in the front.

What does a vasectomy have to do with the possibility of a new truck? Asking for a friend who is contemplating a change soon :anonymous:
