Has the loose button issue been addressed on newly ordered fobs? Or was it fixed by using the black pad from the stock unit?

The mold has been tweaked, and I have new buttons in production. It seems that transferring the stock black rubber pad from the OEM fob does fix the wiggle for some customers, but others it does not. Since not all customers are having the issue(I have been tracking feedback on button fitment), what I am going to do it setup a product page for "new button pack". You will be able to add to cart and checkout(NO CHARGE)free shipping. This is the easiest way I can address/keep track of sending out replacements if it applies to your fob:)

Has the water resistance been tested in any capacity? I don’t “plan” on my fob getting wet but back when I had my Jeep with no fob (because no power locks) it was nice to be able to just jump in the pool with my keys and not worry about then.

Thanks for the quick response. Wondering if maybe Toyota slightly changed something on the fobs one year and it’s only certain years or year? Either way I’ll get one and see if mine will be good. Any plans to make the camouflage fobs you had a rendering of?

I have tested it for water resistance(running it under a hose) and did not see any water intrusion once disassembled. ~IP65/IP66
I have not tested it for water submersion.. IP67

I can't put my finger on it, and my parts are in spec across the board.
As for camo, yes I am talking with my local hydrodipper but we can't find the camo in that small of a pattern. I need too order custom hydrodip film that is 25% scale so it will show on the fob size

My lady sent my stock fob through the washer before and the internal components help up. These seem to seal quite a bit better but I have not tested them.

Note: I did take the stock fob apart and air dried for a while. Still works like day one.

My wife has a 4Runner and a few months ago I grabbed a competitors aftermarket key fob that will likely install in the same manner with having to break/cut open the OEM Fob to get the key and transponder out.. it is kind of a pain but afterwards really worth it, just gotta be patient and methodical. Between a heat gun and exacto knife I was able to get the transponder loose in like 10-15 min? There are YouTube videos showing how to make the cuts and everything too.

I was super happy with it already but it’ll definitely be worth the effort to get a Meso flip out.

My flipfob will be available in a DIY, or COMPLETE kit. By this I mean, the DIY will be cheaper... but you will have to excavate and mutilate your stock key in order to extract the stock transponder chip.
The Complete kit will come with a blank key, new OEM spec transponder, and everything ready to be programmed. This way you will not have to sacrifice the stock key or worry about damaging it while trying to cut it out. Just have a local locksmith or dealer cut the key and program. ~ should be $20-30 for the service.

Can’t wait for my Barcelona red and olive drab fobs to get here! I wonder if there’s a way I can waterproof them

I like this a lot . The 4Runner keys don’t look like fun to take apart and this will give me a extra spare as well . Excited to see these released down the road .

Ordered my Tacoma fob today . Thank you

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
I've had a Keyport since 2011. I cant imagine going back to having a pocket full of jingling keys every again.
