    You take the blank key that comes with the flip to the dealer with your current key and they cut the flip blank to your key.

    Yup, I had mine my flip key cut at a local dealership in a few minutes. The hardest thing about swapping your key over is removing the TRANSPONDER (which is the little black chip glued into the stock fob).

    Just confirming that you are not able to keep the tailgate key attached with this case, correct? I read some of the thread and checked the website, which confirms that. However, one of the reviews states they kept the tailgate key on. I actually do use that key to lock my tailgate.

    The tailgate key doesn't remain in the minimalist fob. You can, however, attach the key from the oem fob to a key ring. That is what I did until I one day cave and get a pop & lock.
