Flop fobs will only be available in colors shown above.

Looks great! Any chance at all that the "L" key from my FJ Cruiser will work if a new key is cut?

This says it works for manual and SR5 Tacomas. Anyone know if this works for the SR?

Any of you guys that had blanks cut at the dealership, about how much $ did that run you for them to cut it? (is that the ONLY place you can go to get a Tacoma key cut?) If I got this flip key would I put the key together first and then take it to the dealership or do I just take the blank to the dealership to be cut then put the key together?

Last question, on some of the MESO photos I noticed the top under the push button it says TRD but other keys that space is blank? How do you get the TRD button? Or does the key come with both a blank and TRD button? Thanks!

I have not had a key for my truck cut, have not had the need yet. I can say that many locksmiths can not only cut the key but they can also program the key fob.

I do know my local locksmith cut and programed 2 new keys for my daughters car (Ford) for less than 30% of the dealership cost of programing alone. Check with your local locksmiths, I bet they can do your work far cheaper than the stealership.

I had a key cut just for opening my tailgate, local locksmith didn't have a problem cutting it. I do wonder if the orientation of the key will fit in the key cutter jig.

I didn’t think you would need a dealership to cut the key, since you are switching over all your inside electrical parts to the flip key all the locksmith would have to do is basically cut a plain blank key.

You don’t need to go to a dealership. Any local locksmith that cuts car keys can do it.

It's probably your browser. Did you set it to MESO compatibility mode? Internet Explorer will take a while before its compatible with the flip keys. Maybe you just need to refresh a couple times. /s

Yes, its definitely in the head unit because I hate that double press unlock feature too and turned it off.

I was given a few blank Ford keys a few years ago and wanted to have one cut. I didn’t know where to go so I just asked the guy at Home Depot and he was confused on what to charge me cause anyone else always bought the blank there so he didn’t charge me at all
