We wanted a rack that perfectly matched the roof line of the truck, but didn't block the digital rear view mirror.

After some measuring we selected a 19" height (17.5" clearance under the rack crossbars).

It looks perfect and has no impact on the functionality of the mirror. Toyota was kind to us in their placement of the camera lens. If the rack was any lower it would partially block the field of view of the camera.

Since we are matching the roof line, when it comes to mounting a long RTT, like our CVT Mt Hood, we will need tent risers, as the shark fin on this truck looks like a spawn of the great white shark from Jaws.

FYI.....the rack is one of our new CXR's which can be ordered to any required height in 1/2" increments.

I was really nervous about that while we were waiting for the truck to show up because I definitely wanted a cab height rack on it. Fortunately Toyota put the camera a lot lower than the top of the cab.

    Looks great!
Man, I think I’m gonna have to trade in my 24 sport for a sport+ once they start offering some deals. I really like the cameras/views.

Yea I got my for invoice and a great price on my trade in. I’m talking about when they start offering 3% financing and money off msrp. I expect it to happen with the Tacoma in a year or two.

Does anyone know if you can see everything with the ARB full rack you can get from the dealership?

I was watching the Overland X video where they did their build and it looks like that rack also goes above the rear view camera so I would think it would not block it?
