Anyone happen to know this dimension as it applies to 3rd gen 2wd SR ? Looking at different aftermarket 16’s and have read hear about people grinding calipers. Don’t wanna go down that road. If your reading this and know of any 3rd gens on 255/70R17’s please post or link photos as that may be an option to keep close to stock diameter.

Any 16" wheel will fit, the only time caliper clearance is an issue is the difference in wheel construction between alloy and steel.

Thanks, just wondering if there was a way to determine if some alloys would fit without ordering a set to see then eat shipping and restock fees if not

Post the wheel specs and we can take a look. If they are an odd size or backspacing there could be clearence issues but that's rare.

Hoping the manufacturer will send me specs shortly. Got in mind doing a retro sort of thing with my sr. Wanted American racing outlaw ii but read here about grinding caliper to fit the 16”. Ultra makes a knockoff, the type 62, and hoping it might work in 16”. They have it in 7” (the ar’s start out at 8”) wide with 8mm offset which I think would do the trick if it will clear the calipers.

Ok, manufacturer emailed that the “net inside diameter “ is 382 mm or 15.039”
    The other specs are:
    16x7, 6x139.7 lug pattern, 108 mm bore, -8 offset, 2200 lb rating.
    Any reason these couldn’t or shouldn’t be used on a 2022 sr 2wd ?

I was under the impression this wasn’t a compatibility issue. Lug centric or adapter rings

Tacoma is hub centric, so you wound need adapter ring.

If it's a 16 or 17...it'll clear around the barrel. The issue is spoke clearance, which unless you have either a profile print of the brake assembly or a print of the wheel center, you're not gonna figure out without the wheel and the truck in the same place.

People used to order BBKs from us at StopTech all the time and since they were running 20"+ rims, refuse to check the wheels using our fitment templates...many times, the spokes would tag the caliper even though there was plenty of clearance inside the barrel.

Nah the tapered lugs that go with most after market rims make it lug centric.

the rings are a good idea but not necessary

you're not buying something that others havent had on their truck before. look for the wheel on here and PM the people who have it to find out. (quickest way possible)

The wheel is a ultra type 62 16X7 part number 062-6783K. I searched here and came up with a couple mentions of 17x8.

The “spoke” of the wheel tapers away from caliper from the flange so I don’t think that would be an issue but I realize there may be more to it. That’s why I’m asking around here. Ultra website lists a dealer near me. I’ll try to get by there, maybe they have access to some cad drawings or additional info. Can’t imagine they stock them
